There are few things in the world that can beat a chewy chocolate chip cookie and an ice cold glass of milk. These are quick to make, easy to eat and the perfect little cookie for the smallest bakers in your house.
115 grams melted unsalted butter
¾ cup soft brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1 free range egg
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups plain flour
2 cups dark chocolate chips
Cookies: preheat your oven to 175 ℃ fan bake. Place the melted butter in a large bowl with the two sugars and mix with a spatula until combined. Add the egg, mix well until fully incorporated. Add in the baking soda, vanilla essence and salt, mix well, then tip in the flour and chocolate chips and mix until completely incorporated. Using a large spoon or ice-cream scoop, make 12 evenly sized dough balls and place on baking tray lined with non-stick paper. Flatten them slightly, then bake for 12-15 minutes until slightly golden. Remove and allow to cool before devouring.
